WHO WE ARE

A Message From the President

President David Hoag - Portrait

It’s a privilege for me to serve the Lord as President of Warner University.  I’m here because of the Christ-centered environment and the impact we can have for His kingdom.

Whether it’s a member of the staff, faculty, or a coach, our people love Christ and are committed to the mission of Warner University, which is “to guide individuals toward Christ-like character and intellectual maturity while equipping them to serve.”

Our Tye Athletic Center is complete with state-of-the-art Samson fitness equipment for personal workouts, a beautiful locker room, and training space.  We also have completed a renovation of our baseball stadium.  It’s an exciting time to be a Royal!

If you are looking for a dynamic, diverse, relevant, community of committed learners Warner University is the place for you.  With more than 35 different areas of study, our faculty can help prepare you for the challenges ahead during these uncertain times.  You can count on them going the extra mile on a regular basis.

Our theme at Warner is #MyStory and we all have a story, but regardless of where you are, we want to help you write your story.  We are committed to help you prepare for the next chapter in your life.  Our faculty, staff, and coaches will always be there for you at Warner University.

Our Full Statement of Faith

Our Story

Founded as Warner Southern College in 1968 by Church of God pastors and laity, the institution became known as Warner University in 2008. The first freshman class of just 27 students entered in the fall of 1968.

But now, Warner bustles with nearly 1200 students from over 30 states and 20 countries, all dedicated to learning in a vibrant Christian community. Our West campus has grown from two buildings to ten, including the 49,000-square-foot Darby Academic Building and new resident housing—Holland Hall.
