The Worship Ministry major fills studios and churches with individuals trained and ready to serve God through worship and music ministry. Each student will leave this program with well-rounded experiences in music theory, music history, conducting, private instruction, and ensemble work. Additionally, students will gain practical worship experience and training in Bible, church minsitry, and church administration.

Written and Oral Communication
- ENG 1010 – Composition I (3 credit hrs.)
- ENG 1020 – Compostion II (3 credit hrs.)

Cultural and Historal Perspectives
Choose from two (2) of the four (4) disciplines:
- Fine Arts (FAS 2005, 2006, or 2043)
- Literature
- Biblical Literature, Theology, or BST 2000 – Beginning Bibilical Interpretation
- Any History (HIS) Course
Mathematics and Science
- Choose nine (9) credit hours, comprised of at least one (1) natural science course and at least one (1) mathematics course at MAT 1030 or above.

Our Faculty
Dana Hofstrom
Chair, Assistant Professor in Worship & Music
Mr. Hofstrom received his M.A. in Music and Worship from Liberty University. Dana directs the university choir and teaches private voice. He is presently the director of the Lake Wales Chorale.
He is presently the director of the Lake Wales Chorale as well as a member of Florida Music Educators Association and American Choral Directors Association.
Dr. Jonathan Reed
Associate Professor of Music
Dr. Reed is a professional pianist in both the concert hall and the classroom. An active arranger and performer, he has arranged and recorded six albums of piano music.
Dr. Reed holds music degrees from Butler University, Bob Jones University, and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Reed is currently President of the Ridge Music Teachers Association and Chairman of the College Council for FSMTA.
