Master of Business Ministry and Management

Master of Business Ministry and Management (M.B.M.M.)

The Master of Business Ministry and Management degree is a 30-credit-hour degree designed to help leaders both serve and manage churches and other ministries. The logistics of ministry organizations are complicated, and require both theology and business acumen. This fully-online Master’s program is designed to meet both needs. Leaders (and future leaders) will develop skill in the economics and organizational aspects of ministry, but also will be rooted in sound theology and exegesis. The goal is that both individuals and organizations thrive and are fruitful, displaying faith, hope, and love, along with organizational wisdom and skill. This is a perfect “second step” degree for those seeking expertise beyond the bachelor's degree, and willing to dive into the interdisciplinary nature of both business and ministry. Students are welcomed from all undergraduate degree fields, and current practitioners will find something from every class to directly take into their ministries. For those who are solid in theology and exegesis, but see a need for additional organizational and business skills for ministry effectiveness, this unique degree will help upgrade their skill set for a multidimensional ministry. The program consists of ten courses, equaling thirty credit hours, to be taken in eight-week sessions. A student may finish in as little as a year and a half, but the program is flexible enough to be spread out over a longer period of time.

BUS 5015 Essentials in Business (the Good Start Track) is designed for those who do not have a background in business at the undergraduate level. Students provisionally accepted will also be required to enroll in BUS 5015 Essentials in Business. If the student has an undergraduate business degree, they are not required to take this course, but can elect to take it. If they do not elect to take it, they can choose from BUS5050 Marketing Management or BUS5070 HR Management to replace it.
