The Warner University Baseball team and coaches teamed up with the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and the Lake Wales Little League to host a baseball camp for local kids on January 12th.
For the second year, the LW Little League provided the fields, lights, balls and other necessary equipment, the Baptist Church handled the registration, food, and drinks and Warner Baseball team handled all of the instruction.
Two baseball players, Jeff Stabe and Cal Sanelli, shared their testimonies and some scripture with all the young players.
“The kids absolutely loved it,” said baseball player Will Nelson. “But we got a lot out of it, too.”
First Baptist Church reached out to all of the local elementary schools announcing the clinic. There were 65 kids, aged 7-12, to attend this year, up from 49 last year.
Thank you to the Warner Baseball team, First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and the Lake Wales Little League for “throwing” such
an impactful event for these young boys and girls!
Thank you to Warner Baseball Team for taking time to share your love for Jesus and baseball with these 65 young impressionable children. You never know what seed was planted in their hearts.
