On April 29 over 180 members of the Class of 2023, joined by their families and friends, gathered in the WU Courtyard for Warner University’s 2023 Commencement ceremony. The event featured an inspiring address by Pastor Corey Brooks, founder and Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Chicago and CEO of Project H.O.O.D. Communities Development Corporation. In his speech, Pastor Brooks urged graduates to seize the day and make a positive impact in the world, encapsulated by the memorable line “It’s not the duration of your life; it’s the donation of your life.” The ceremony also saw Pastor Brooks receiving an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his contributions to society.
During the ceremony, Dr. Hugh Moye, Assistant Professor of Agricultural Studies & Plant Science, was awarded the Professor of the Year award for his unwavering dedication and commitment to Warner students.
To the Class of 2023: Congratulations on this remarkable achievement! As Mark 15:16 commands, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Take pride in all that you have accomplished and embrace the opportunities ahead of you.
