Royal Return:
Power and Internet services have been restored to all of campus, and we can announce plans for students’ return. Students may return as early as Monday morning, October 14th. The first dining service will be lunch on Monday, October 14th. Classes and activities will resume as normal on Tuesday, October 15th.
We still have some cleanup and damage to repair, however, none of these will prevent normal University operations.
Employees may report as normal on Monday, October 14th.
We are thankful to God for his provision for and protection of our campus. The effects of this storm to Warner are manageable. Our thoughts and prayers are with those still recovering from Hurricane Helene and who are facing a long recovery from Hurricane Milton.

Good morning Royals! We want to give you an update on the status of campus following the impacts caused by Hurricane Milton.
Our campus currently has only partial power and, as a result, we are not able to give an โall clearโ for students to return to campus at this time. We do not have a good estimate of when full power will be restored. As a result, classes will not resume as normal on Monday. We will provide another update of our power status by mid-morning on Saturday.
Overall the campus fared very well. We took some minor damage and have begun efforts to get these areas repaired. Our assessment team went into each residence hall room looking for damage. I am happy to report that the residence halls took no significant damage and that all student belongings left behind are secure and appear to be undamaged.
Students, be looking for emails from your instructors regarding online assignments for Monday.
Employees, continue to work with your area supervisors and leadership team members regarding whether to work remotely or attempt to report to work on Monday.

We have made the difficult decision to postpone this yearโs ๐๐๐๐! ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ event, originally scheduled for this Saturday, October 12. While we donโt have a rescheduled date at this time, we will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.

As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, the WU Leadership Team has decided to ask students to enact their emergency plans and prepare to leave campus. All official campus activities will cease at 3 p.m. on Monday, October 7th. Classes and activities are canceled after 3 p.m. on Monday and will remain canceled through Friday. The Union will remain open until 5 p.m. this afternoon and will have to-go options available.
Students should plan to leave campus this (Monday) evening and remain off campus through Friday, October 11th. This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution for the safety and welfare of the Warner community.
Residential students are asked to communicate with their RD’s prior to exiting campus. Students who do not have a safe place to move to should contact their coaches and/or their RD.
All employees should plan to work as normal on Monday. On Tuesday, only essential employees should report to campus. All others should work remotely on Tuesday as they are able. All offices will be considered closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Check with your supervisors for specific information and expectations for your department area, including plans for Friday.
