Warner University’s Pre-Health Club Hosts a OneBlood Blood Drive

Recently, Warner University’s Pre-Health Club successfully hosted a OneBlood blood drive on campus. This event is an exemplar of the club members’ hard work and dedication to preparation for their future careers.

This event saw 20 future graduates from Warner donate blood to the blood drive. This number was far beyond the goal/expectation for donors set by OneBlood and the Pre-Health Club! The event was coordinated by Michael Fantaski, a OneBlood representative, Dr. Liana Sanchez, the club’s faculty representative, and future graduate Maegan Rodden, president of the Pre-Health Club. The club plans to host another OneBlood blood drive during the upcoming spring semester.

The Warner University Pre-Health club is open to any future graduates who plan to pursue a career in medicine after graduation. Events like the OneBlood blood drive give the club’s members up-close experience with medicinal work. The club also helps future graduates form relationships and make connections with people currently working in the healthcare industry, heightening the chances of these future graduates finding a career shortly after graduation. The official mission statement of the club is:

“The Warner University Pre-Health Club (PHC) aims to unite and equip all students seeking a career in a health-related field with literacy, connections, experiences, and resources, as well as instill in them a heart of compassion to aid them in their future careers.”
