Maxely Perez, a Physical Education K-12 major at Warner University, received the Society of Health & Physical Educators (SHAPE) Florida Outstanding Future Professional Award at its convention in Orlando on October 27th. This award honors an outstanding future professional member of SHAPE Florida majoring in health, physical education, dance, and/or a professional-related field.

Maxely is a very talented, intelligent, and amazing student and, through her volunteer work, has already proven that she is a remarkable physical education teacher. She has kept a perfect GPA of 4.0 during her matriculation at Warner University. She has volunteered many hours doing community service and has been called upon on many occasions to be a substitute teacher at the local public schools.

This is the third award that Maxely has received during the past year. Last year she was awarded Warner University’s Outstanding Student of the Year Award in both the Exercise and Sport Studies Department and the Education Department. Maxely is also a member of three honor societies and is a Royal Ambassador in the admissions office. She has a heart of gold and a passion for physical education and is very deserving of this award!
