August 30, 9am – Warner University personnel continue to monitor the conditions on our campus. At this time, no significant issues or damage has been reported on campus. The campus remains under a Tornado Watch until 3 p.m. We can expect periods of rain and thunderstorms until early this afternoon.
Classes will be delivered remotely all day today. All activities and practices are canceled for the rest of today.
The cafeteria will be open during regular dining hours today. The Library and computer labs in PLRC will be open until 5 p.m. today. Please exercise caution when venturing outside to these locations.
We anticipate resuming all normal campus activities at 8 a.m. tomorrow, August 31st.
August 29, 10am – Out of an abundance of caution related to Hurricane Idalia, all Warner University classes will be remote on Wednesday, August 30. Every instructor will have different expectations. Students are responsible for checking email and the Moodle course pages for assignments and instructions, and they should submit all work by the due dates that instructors will communicate.
All school activities, including chapel, practices and athletic contests, are also canceled for Wednesday, August 30.
The library, cafeteria, and other offices will be open but minimally staffed. Members of the Leadership Team will communicate with their respective employees their expectations about physical presence on campus or remote work.
Students are encouraged to shelter on campus beginning at 9:00 p.m. this evening (Tuesday, August 29). If students execute their Emergency Plan to leave campus, they should notify their Resident Director.
All faculty and staff are expected to return to work on Thursday, August 31 unless otherwise notified.
Security personnel will remain on campus throughout the storm event.
Additional updates will be sent as necessary.
August 28, 3pm – Warner University is currently open for regular hours at this time. University Administrators continue to monitor the developing storm. We will provide updates as conditions warrant
