Warner University Physical Education K-12 major, Saray Perez, was honored with the Katherine W. Montgomery Scholarship Award at the Society of Health & Physical Educators (SHAPE) Florida Convention on October 23rd in Kissimmee, Florida. This prestigious award was established to recognize students who demonstrate leadership and dedication to their studies in the areas of physical education and/or health education.

Saray Perez is well-deserving of this honor, as she has consistently maintained a 4.0-grade point average throughout high school and college. She is part of the Florida Future Educators of America and Teen Trend Setters and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Epsilon Kappa Honor Societies. Saray has also volunteered at the Salvation Army, distributed school supplies to underprivileged children, and tutored children and young adults during summer camps.
