Financial Aid Process
A college education is an important investment. At Warner, we want to make tuition costs manageable with the help of financial aid.
There are three main steps involved in completing your Financial Aid process.
Steps For Financial Aid
1
Step 1
Complete Your FAFSA:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for federal, state and Warner aid. Both student and parent will be required to create an FSA ID. In order to complete the FAFSA, you will need to have access to your tax information. The easiest way to do this is by using the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) within the FAFSA. Warner’s college code is 008848. Click here to start your FAFSA.
- The FAFSA opens applications on October 1 for the following academic year. For example, if you’re starting college in Fall 2022, the earliest you can submit your FAFSA is October 1, 2021. To be given the greatest consideration for financial aid programs, you should complete the FAFSA prior to March 1, which is the Warner University priority date. Some programs are first-come, first-served, so be sure to apply early to avoid losing out on potential funding opportunities. If you or your family’s financial situation has changed significantly from what is reflected on your federal 2020 income tax return (for example, if you’ve lost a job or otherwise experienced a significant drop in income), you may be eligible to have your financial aid adjusted (documentation is required). Complete the FAFSA application as instructed (including the transfer of tax return and income information), submit, and contact Warner’s Financial Aid Department for review (allow 72 hours for your FAFSA to be processed and received). Note: the school’s decision is final and cannot be appealed to the US Department of Education.

Step 2
Complete the Financial Aid Process
Complete Verification:
- Many students are selected for verification. It is a process used by the government to confirm that the data reported on the FAFSA is accurate. Students are selected for verification for multiple reasons. Do not worry! The steps to complete this are usually very easy and we will guide you through this process. The Financial Aid office will send all required documents to be completed and returned.
- If you were not able to use the Data Retrieval Tool to transfer your income information directly to the FAFSA, you will need to provide either:
- Your tax return transcripts or non-filing statements from two years prior. For example, for the 2024-2025 school year, your tax return transcripts from 2022. (contact irs.gov or call 800-908-9946), or:
