WU Alumnus Speaks at Warner Business Club Meeting
Warner University alumnus Chukwuka Monye (BA’01) returned to Warner on March 8 to speak and offer advice to not only the students of the Business Club, but any student with an interest in business.

“The different dynamics of Dr. Monye’s lecture was interesting and engaging,” said business major Renan Gambim. “It was motivating to hear about his personal life and the different situations and stages he went through in his career.”
Monye told his story, answered questions, and got to know the students and some of their dreams. He offered advice and the necessary steps to take to be successful in the business world.
But along with the general and individual business advice he gave the students, he also gave advice on life.
“Value every moment here because you don’t know what you’re going to need in the future, and cherish your relationships because they are valuable,” said Monye.
Monye is an innovation strategist, corporate development and consumer intelligence expert. He is the founder and currently the Managing Partner at Ciuci Consulting and a Director General at Delta Economic Summit Group in Delta State, Nigeria.
Having come from Nigeria to Warner, Monye graduated with a Business Administration degree and then furthered his studies by earning both his Masters in Business Administration and PGD in Strategy and Innovation from University of Oxford. He has also attended management programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
During his years as a Warner student, Monye was SGA President and was part of the same graduating class as current Warner University Associate Professor of Business Dr. Verna Omanwa.
“As a fellow Warner alumni and friend, I’m very proud of Mr. Monye’s accomplishments,” said Omanwa. “His presentation to Warner’s current business students was very inspirational.”
Warner’s Business Club is an opportunity for students to build their business networking skills, share their career experiences, and build connections between themselves, their peers, business faculty, and the community.
Members participate in the Business Club Expo, which will be held on April 12, with marketing the event, booking booths for clients, gathering prizes for the raffle, and booking guest speakers, which is ongoing task. They also participate in a social responsibility event.
The club currently has 20 members that meet once a month, and any current Warner student with a minimum 2.0 GPA can join if they attend meetings and events.
For more information on the Business Club contact Assistant Professor of Business and Marketing Dr. Jill Novak or Dr. Omanwa.
We loved Chukwuka Monye’s visit to campus and his time with the students. We wish him continued success and blessings!
