FAFSA is now open!

Get started at studentaid.gov and be sure to use Warner’s code: 008848.

Financial Aid

A college education is an important investment. At Warner, we want to make tuition costs manageable with the help of financial aid.

There are three main steps involved in completing your Financial Aid process.

  • Step One: Complete your FAFSA
  • Step Two: Complete the Financial Aid process
  • Step Three: Complete your payment arrangements
Step One: Complete Your FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for federal, state and Warner aid.

Completing the FAFSA:

  • Both student and parent will be required to create an FSA ID.
  • In order to complete the FAFSA, you will need to have access to your 2020 tax information. The easiest way to do this is by using the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) within the FAFSA.

College Code (Warner): 008848

Click here to start your FAFSA!

The FAFSA opens applications on October 1 for the following academic year. For example, if you’re starting college in Fall 2022, the earliest you can submit your FAFSA is October 1, 2021.

To be given the greatest consideration for financial aid programs, you should complete the FAFSA prior to March 1, which is the Warner University priority date. Some programs are first-come, first-served, so be sure to apply early to avoid losing out on potential funding opportunities.

If you or your family’s financial situation has changed significantly from what is reflected on your federal 2020 income tax return (for example, if you’ve lost a job or otherwise experienced a significant drop in income), you may be eligible to have your financial aid adjusted (documentation is required).  Complete the FAFSA application as instructed (including the transfer of tax return and income information), submit, and contact Warner’s Financial Aid Department for review (allow 72 hours for your FAFSA to be processed and received).  Note: the school’s decision is final and cannot be appealed to the US Department of Education.

Step Two: Complete the Financial Aid Process

Complete Verification

Many students are selected for verification.  It is a process used by the government to confirm that the data reported on the FAFSA is accurate.

Students are selected for verification for multiple reasons.  Do not worry!  The steps to complete this are usually very easy and we will guide you through this process.  The Financial Aid office will send all required documents to be completed and returned.

If you were not able to use the Data Retrieval Tool to transfer your income information directly to the FAFSA, you will need to provide either:

  1. 2020 tax return transcripts or non-filing statement (contact irs.gov or call 800-908-9946), or
  2. Signed 2020 tax return (Form 1040)

Military Aid

Veteran’s Benefits

If you’re a veteran of the United States military, you may be eligible for help with the cost of college. You may also be eligible for aid because of the service death or disability of a spouse or parent.

To find out, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Apply for admission to Warner University.
  • Meet with an Academic Counselor to determine your program of study.
  • Complete the appropriate application: (22-1990) is for Veterans’ Benefits; (22-5490) is for the eligible dependent or spouse; and (22-1995) is for change of program or place of training. You may request a paper form to complete or you may complete an application online: http://www.gibill.va.gov.
  • Be sure your financial aid advisor knows you are a VA student. VA Education Benefit Enrollment Agreement
  • Be prepared for a wait! It is not unusual that processing your first-time application can take up to 90 days. An additional three weeks may be required for completing your certification. (The VA is making every effort to improve processing at the Decatur, GA Regional Processing Office.)
  • Know the rules: If you take a class out of program, your certification will be delayed until you meet with an academic advisor.
  • Know the rules: If you withdraw from a class, you will be required to pay back the money you receive from the VA. This bill is calculated from the last day of attendance. You must inform of all withdrawals.

Military Benefits

Warner University is committed to supporting our community of service members, veterans, and their spouses as they progress toward their educational goals. As you serve our country, we want to serve you in your education. Your service may entitle you to several benefits and our military support staff would be happy to explore which benefits you qualify for. Our experienced advisors can help you take full advantage of these crucial financial resources.

As part of efforts to eliminate unfair, deceptive, and abusive marketing aimed at Service members Warner University will:

  1. Ban inducements, including any gratuity, favor, discount, entertainment, hospitality, loan, transportation, lodging, meals, or other item having a monetary value of more than a de minimis amount, to any individual or entity, or its agents including third party lead generators or marketing firms other than salaries paid to employees or fees paid to contractors in conformity with all applicable laws for the purpose of securing enrollments of Service members or obtaining access to TA funds. Educational institution sponsored scholarships or grants and tuition reductions available to military students are permissible, and;
  2. Refrain from providing any commission, bonus, or other incentive payment based directly or indirectly on securing enrollments or federal financial aid (including TA funds) to any persons or entities engaged in any student recruiting, admission activities, or making decisions regarding the award of student financial assistance, and;
  3. Refrain from high-pressure recruitment tactics such as making multiple unsolicited contacts (3 or more), including contacts by phone, email, or in-person, and engaging in same-day

Yellow Ribbon Program

The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. The newest VA education benefit, the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33), is now available to eligible veterans and service members. This new program offers more comprehensive education benefits to veterans and active duty service members who served at least 90 aggregate days of active duty on or after September 11, 2001, or served 30 continuous days and were discharged with a service-connected disability.

Loans and Work Study

Loans

Many students take out loans to help fund a portion of their educational expenses.  Loans must be repaid, so plan your finances carefully and borrow only what you think you can afford to repay. For more information on federal loan regulations, click here.

Loan Repayment Brochure

Work Study

Federal and state work study funds provide aid in exchange for work for eligible students, in the form of campus-based employment.
